He was heavily involved in the bad faith litigation arising out of both the Malibu Fire of 1993 and the Northridge Earthquake; winning each case he has tried.

In 1997 Gregg wrote the legal thriller Deadspin (Bantam), which has been published worldwide and translated into several foreign languages.

Deborah Berthel is a graduate of the University of Southern California Law Center. Deborah has played an integral role in all the firm's trials.

Deborah's greatest strength is in her ability to break down a case and prepare a litigation plan designed to resolve a matter quickly. Her efforts have led to the efficient conclusion of matters that might otherwise have languished, saving the firm's clients significant expense.

Deborah is also responsible for marshaling and deploying the firm's growing resources along with executing carefully conceived litigation strategies designed to maximize results with a minimum of expense. Her efforts in this regard have made MacGregor & Berthel a prized resource for its clients, whether they are Fortune 500 companies or well-run start-ups who need top-flight legal representation.
